Many times when you show a house the listing agent (represents the seller) gives showing instructions. Typically they are things like "lock the doors and turn off the lights." This always disappoints me because I prefer to leave the doors wide open with a sign in the front yard telling everyone to come in (of course I'm kidding)!
Some properties (as this one did) need so much work that you are warned to be careful where you step because the floor is not stable. In addition to possibly falling through the floor, this house had a LOT of things in it. Beth, Paul and I had to test the floor and walk around the stacks of magazines (there had to have been thousands).
I was trying to be discreet (impossible) and pretend I didn't notice. But Paul couldn't stand it. He had to make sure I realized these magazines were porno! Of course we had to do a quick look to see if they all were (the ones we checked were). I will never forget all the pictures of naked body parts strewn about everywhere. I'm glad Beth & Paul's daughter wasn't with us that day.
